General Inmate Information

Below is information and instructions on how to mail a letter to an inmate, send a postal money order, send money via Western Union to an inmate and what to do in case of an emergency.


Inmate Mail

All incoming mail shall be sent via the US Postal Service and addressed as:

John Doe, #000000
Bell County Forestry Camp
560 Correctional Drive
Pineville, KY  40977

All incoming mail is subject to be inspected or read to determine if contraband is enclosed or any rule violation has occurred.


Postal Money Order

Money for an inmate’s account shall be in the form of a United States Postal Money Order only. Cash or personal checks shall not be accepted. Postal Money Orders shall be sent via US Postal Service addressed as:

Postal Money orders shall contain no other item.   Money Orders will be returned to the sender if sent with a letter or any other item.

Deposits shall not exceed $200 for any one deposit, except from immediate family members.


Western Union

Money may be sent via Western Union Quick Collect System.   The person sending money will need to fill out a Blue Quick Collect Form available through Western Union Agents.  The information the sender will need to send money in this manner is:

Pay to:   Bell County Forestry Camp

Code City and State: BELLCOUNTY/KY

Account Number:  Inmate Name and Inmate Number are required

Deposits shall not exceed $200 for any one deposit, except from immediate family members.


Emergency

If it is necessary to phone the Institution in an emergency, the telephone number is (606) 337-7065, dial 0 for the Operator.  The Shift Supervisor on duty should be notified of emergencies. 

The only way an inmate may speak with you over the telephone is when he calls you.  No inmate may receive a telephone call from outside the institution.  All inmate calls shall be collect and you are responsible for the charges.
