Mission

The mission of the Luther Luckett Correctional Complex, in accordance with the Department of Corrections is twofold:  1. To promote public safety, secure incarceration from the community; and, 2. To give felons the opportunities for the capability to contribute positively to society upon release through use of constructive classification, programs and work assignment.

  • ‘Controlled movement’ led to inmate riot at Northpoint, report says

    FRANKFORT, Ky – Inmates reacted to the implementation of restrictions in their movement at the Northpoint Training Center in August by setting fires in dorms, destroying property and busting out windows, causing one of the most destructive prison riots in Kentucky history, according to a report released today by the Department of Corrections.
  • Cookie Crews Promoted to Warden at Kentucky State Reformatory

    Frankfort, Ky. (November 16, 2009) – Kentucky Department of Corrections Commissioner LaDonna Thompson today announced the promotion of Cookie Crews as warden of the Kentucky State Reformatory (KSR) in LaGrange, the state’s largest prison.
  • Jarrod Dortch Promoted to P&P District Supervisor

    Frankfort, Ky. (October 20, 2009) – Kentucky Department of Corrections Director of Probation & Parole Lelia “Lee” VanHoose today announced that Jarrod Dortch has been promoted to District 13 Supervisor. The District includes Crittenden, Union, Henderson, Ohio, Hancock, Muhlenberg, Webster, Daviess and McLean counties.
