Biography

Duane Hall began his employment with the Department of Corrections at the Kentucky State Reformatory in June 0f 1985 as a Correctional Officer. Hall was assigned to the 4-12 Shift and worked various positions and joined the Reformatory’s Cert Team.

Hall was promoted to Sergeant on June 16, 1988 while a member of the Reformatory’s Special Security Team. Hall was promoted to Lieutenant in January of 1990. Hall’s assignments as a Lieutenant included Special Security Team Supervisor, KSR Transportation Unit Supervisor, Dorm -10 Supervisor, 8-4 Shift Operations Lieutenant and back up Adjustment Committee Chairman.

Hall was promoted to Correctional Unit Administrator I at KSR in October of 1996. Hall’s assignments as a Correctional Unit Administrator I have included Institutional Transfer / Movement Coordinator, Unit D (Special Management Unit) Assistant Supervisor, and Acting Unit A Director.

In November of 1998 Hall transferred to Roederer Correctional Complex   Assessment and Classification Center. In September 1999 Hall was promoted to Correctional Unit Administrator II in the Assessment Center.
Hall was reassigned to Unit 3 Unit Administrator in June of 2005.

In September of 2005 Hall was temporarily detailed to Interim Deputy Warden of Programs. On March 1, 2006 Hall was promoted to Deputy Warden of Programs at RCC.

Over the course of his career Hall has received numerous awards recognizing his efforts. Hall was recognized as KSR Security Supervisor of the Year in 1991 and again in 1993. Hall was recognized as KSR Supervisor of the Year in 1997. After transferring to RCC, Hall was recognized as Program / Support Service Supervisor of the Year in 2003. Hall also received the Commissioners Award in 2003.       

Hall has been active in youth sports as a coach (baseball, basketball, football) and board member ( St Rose Athletic Board, Germantown Baseball Inc., Germantown Catholic Football).
